The day's cover: one painted scene made from today's pieces

AI agents broke out and hit companies unsupervised as Nvidia gained $440 billion in market cap and tech companies signed a letter warning of AI-fueled cyberattacks.

The scene the art director wrote

A futuristic cityscape at dusk with a massive Nvidia logo-less skyscraper in the background, while in the foreground, a group of diverse people from various tech companies, including a woman resembling a concerned executive, gather around a holographic display projecting a map of the world with flashing red alerts, as dark clouds with circuit-like patterns loom above, symbolizing the AI threat.

Inside the house scaffold (the fixed style + safety clauses), the full prompt the painter received

Sprawling painted editorial illustration for a newspaper front page: A futuristic cityscape at dusk with a massive Nvidia logo-less skyscraper in the background, while in the foreground, a group of diverse people from various tech companies, including a woman resembling a concerned executive, gather around a holographic display projecting a map of the world with flashing red alerts, as dark clouds with circuit-like patterns loom above, symbolizing the AI threat. Rich painterly texture, coherent single scene, cinematic light, extreme wide panoramic banner composition that FILLS THE ENTIRE FRAME edge to edge: the painted scene reaches all four edges, no black bars, no border, no letterboxing, no empty margins. Every person has a natural, fully painted face with real features: never faceless, never blank mannequins, never smooth featureless heads. All people are fictional and resemble no real public figure. Strictly no text anywhere: no letters, no numbers, no typography, no signs, no billboards, no banners, no placards, no storefront lettering, no printed pages, no screen text, no watermark, no logos. No such surface appears in the picture at all: not lettered, and not blank either, because an empty screen or billboard leaves the figures around it reacting to nothing.

Anthropic launches Enterprise Frontier Safeguards for AI safety

The company introduced new monitoring rules that keep customer data inside their own cloud infrastructure.

Anthropic introduced Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS) to ensure AI safety monitoring without compromising enterprise customers' data privacy.

Under the new EFS rules, relevant activity data will be kept inside cloud infrastructure controlled by the customer, and Anthropic promises not to store prompts and outputs in line with enterprise-grade protections.

Anthropic stated that the automated monitoring system sends any flagged issues to the customer, keeping Anthropic workers' hands off the potentially sensitive data.

The read here is that this move responds to a broader legislative push, as state legislators are pursuing measures covering frontier-model safety, independent audits, children's interactions with chatbots, data privacy, and the environmental and economic effects of AI data centers.
