# Eight domains converge on koaladns.com in a single-day DNS sweep

DomainDrift data logged all eight moves on Sept. 7, pulling sites from three different prior nameserver providers into one.

Eight domains switched their DNS to koaladns.com on Sept. 7, according to DomainDrift data, with three prior providers - brainydns.com, kirklanddc.com and magpiedns.com - each losing at least one domain in the same window.[^1]

The read here is that the concentration is the story. A single receiving provider absorbing eight domains in one day, drawn from three separate outgoing providers, is a pattern worth naming even without knowing the why.

Four of the eight had been sitting on kirklanddc.com: bmovies.to, chemtrailsplanet.net, workhousemuseums.org and garyr.net all moved on the same date.[^2] Three came from brainydns.com - watchseries1.fun, azmovies.xyz and what-buddha-taught.net.[^6] binchen.org was the sole departure from magpiedns.com.[^3]

The eight domains span a range that appears to share no common subject matter. bmovies.to and azmovies.xyz carry names consistent with video streaming. chemtrailsplanet.net and what-buddha-taught.net suggest content sites of unrelated kinds. workhousemuseums.org, binchen.org and garyr.net carry no obvious shared purpose. The common thread, on the available record, is only the destination nameserver.[^4]

What would sharpen the picture is a registrant-level view of whether any of these domains share ownership records. The DNS layer alone does not say.
